Since 1997, approximately 1,220,000-1,240,000 mainland compatriots have immigrated to Hong Kong, many of whom are women from grassroots backgrounds. We have consistently maintained extensive contact with these individuals, gaining a deep understanding of their difficulties. They must adapt to language, educational, and cultural differences, while also caring for their emotionally troubled children. Economically, they struggle to make ends meet; even those with professional qualifications find it difficult to gain recognition. In recent years, due to the escalating tensions between Hong Kong and mainland China, they are easily labeled as those who come to Hong Kong to seize social welfare resources and increase the burden on society. However, we at Mission To New Arrivals see them as beloved by the Lord and as our neighbors.

To meet their physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs, Mission To New Arrivals provides them with material support, helps them adapt to life in Hong Kong, partners with different churches and gospel organizations, enables newly arrived grassroots families in Hong Kong to receive the abundant salvation of Jesus Christ, and encourages them to share the gospel with their neighbors and fellow countrymen.
