Social Enterprise
Mission To New Arrivals Limited operates through a social enterprise model, not only creating employment opportunities for its target group (newly arrived women) but also helping them build confidence, unleash their potential, and integrate into society. Its affiliated social enterprises include "3H Handicraft" in Tuen Mun, which focuses on crafting handmade products and offering interest-based classes (primarily involving silk flower products and handicrafts).
3H Handicraft
"3H Handicraft" was established in 2011 as a program to encourage newly arrived women to realize their strengths by creating innovative handmade crafts. This program seeks not only to improve their livelihood but also to help them regain confidence, embodying the concept of creating hope with "hands" and "home" as the basis.
Office of "3H Handicraft"
Background:
Since its establishment in 2011, 3H Handicraft has primarily operated out of an office borrowed from a school in Tin Shui Wai (shared with other departments) and from its parent organization located in Tai Kok Tsui. The space has been very limited, lacking the facilities needed for training and production, which has severely impacted work efficiency and the expansion of our ministry.
Funding Allocation:
In August 2014, we received funding from the Home Affairs Department's "Partnering for Self-Reliance Community Collaboration Program (伙伴倡自強社區協作計劃)", which supported the operations of "3H Handicraft" for the next three years. This funding enabled us to rent an independent office for training, post-processing (packaging), material storage, conducting training sessions, and organizing sales events.
Establishing 3H Handicraft:
In November 2014, "3H Handicraft" finally secured its own office, allowing for significant development and breakthroughs. Throughout the process of finding a suitable location, we were continually blessed with assistance from various individuals, including real estate agents, landlords, and renovation workers, all of whom provided invaluable support, which fully demonstrating the grace bestowed upon us.
On that day, the staff of “3H Handicraft”, along with the women involved, worked together to move materials from Tin Shui Wai and Tai Kok Tsui to our new "home" at the Golden Dragon Industrial Centre in Kwai Fong.

Products and Services
School Cooperation
To enhance students' understanding of social enterprises, "3H Handicraft" offers a series of activities, including school presentations, visits to social enterprises, workshops, and sales events, enabling students to learn about the operational models of social enterprises through various experiences.
School Presentations: "3H Handicraft" will send representatives to schools to share the operational models of social enterprises and their significance. Students will also have the opportunity to hear the stories of immigrant women, gaining insight into their real-life experiences in Hong Kong.
Visits the Social Enterprises: Students will step outside the classroom to visit "3H Handicraft", where they can learn about its operations and history. Immigrant women will teach them how to create handcrafted items, providing an experiential understanding of the work within a social enterprise.
Workshop Initiation: Handcraft workshops will be conducted in schools, led by immigrant women instructors who will teach the creation of items such as silk flowers and knitted items.
Applicable Groups: Secondary and primary schools, as well as various tertiary institutions.
Sales Events: Sales events will be held in schools, where "3H Handicraft" will provide assistance with the display and sale of products.
